[During pre-ordering] "" "" Illustrated "" 17 prefectures of radioactivity measurement map + reading collection "Information for prior reservation in crowdfunding form

This time, everyone's data site is challenged through the crowdfunding " motion-gallery " to become a book of "" illustration "17 prefectures of radioactivity measurement map + reading solution collection !

Through our activities over the past six years, we have built a database of more than 10,000 radioactive contaminations of food, and have created a map of the radioactivity of soil in 17 prefectures.
However, there were also voices that "I can not understand well just by looking at the map".
In addition, many people did not use the Web, and they needed a tool for them to learn about the actual state of radioactive soil contamination.
As a result, we added an easy-to-understand commentary, decided to publish it as a book, and worked on planning and editing.

This time, we will challenge the crowdfunding to find out the cost of designing and printing!

This project was launched only with us living and measuring in Japan, who can respond to concerns and fears from people around the world, not only in Japan but around the world.

This is a project of historical value where the citizen measurement rooms of the whole country cooperated, collected 4,000 volunteers and 17 prefectures and soils in more than 3,400 locations in 17 prefectures, and mapped the measurement results of radioactivity.
The target amount is 2,500,000 yen (All in method).
The period is August 3 (Fri) 0:00 to September 28 (Fri) 23:59.

Currently keen to edit and design. For example, there is such a page.
It is an explanation page of soil pollution in Miyagi Prefecture
(There is a possibility that the design etc. may change slightly during production)

We have made 1,500 copies of books, and prepared the benefits such as return of goods for "all people's data site", and a chance to give them a gift for evacuees.
We will aim to achieve the goal while communicating various information for about 2 months from now.
Please lend me your own life.
Thank you for your cooperation, including support and sharing!

【Report】 A junior high school teacher from California came to Japan for a survey

On 26th June, Takagi Foundation introduced you to be interested in the activity of the data site of everyone, and Cassandra Chen, a science teacher at a junior high school in Oakland, California and Candice Fukumoto-Dunham , a history teacher, said , “Asian As part of my research on citizen science, I came to see the Fukushima 30-Year Project, one of the executive groups, and the "Practical Team in Tokyo".

First, members of the Fukushima 30-year project met at Fukushima, and together they visited “Tarachine”, who also has a β-ray lab and clinic at a citizen measuring station, and also ran Route 6.

In the United States, there is a problem of drinking water pollution by lead and other heavy metals, and it is said that junior high school students are conducting measurement survey of water pollution and heavy metal pollution.

In comparison, there was the question, "In Japan, for example, did the teacher measure the pollution of the school ground as a lesson with the children in the class after the accident?"
In Japan, I was surprised to tell that there is only a prescription for air dose, so there is a tendency to avoid the Becquerel measurement itself, and that if you try to do it at school you will not allow the Board of Education.
"What kind of thing that it is not allowed to check their own schools themselves?" I thought that the way after the Japanese accident from the world perspective seems strange.

On the other hand, at their school in California, it was felt that “civil science” had taken root in school education, and each teacher was carrying out classes and community activities from the perspective of a citizen scientist. In the specific interview, I was impressed to hear that you are investigating water and air pollution in cooperation with surrounding communities and universities.

The visits by these women were a few days fast, but I think that we could introduce the situation of the radioactive contamination and the activities for it densely, with Fukushima 30 years, Tachikan, Route 6, and Tokyo.
He stated, "We will bring back to the children and the community firmly and tell about the situation in Japan and what people in the Tohoku region are thinking about!"

It was a good opportunity to investigate carefully and prepare many questions, and to know how we looked at our activities and stance from the outside and to think again. Above all, I was empowered by these young teachers being active.

If I had time, I would like to exchange more and more questions from each other.

With this kind of exchange, I wanted to deepen information exchange with overseas from now on.

Thank you very much Hirai-san of the Fukushima 30-year project for attending a car for two days in Fukushima and Tokyo and following up with a proper interpreter!

[Report] Kanagawa Prefecture / Shizuoka Prefecture Boundary Soil Collection Caravan Results Report

June 5, 2018, soil sampling caravan of blank range near Kanagawa Prefecture and Shizuoka prefectural border, gave a six collection. Two secretariat staff and volunteer Y living in Kanagawa prefecture as a driver helped. Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Y.

The area this time is the area where it is assumed that the plume passed a little darker in the "Hayakawa map" and soiled. I would like to verify that by actual Becquerel measurement.

In order to prevent the suction of dirt when collecting it, a mask was used for protection. The weather was fine on the day, and it was sunny several days before, so the soil was dry and the collection progressed smoothly. We put on a screen (sieve) on the spot and made it possible to measure as it was, and we brought it to the "East Forest Measurement Room" in Kanagawa Prefecture and requested measurement.

The measurement results are as follows.
In Manazuru and Odawara, we have confirmed the value of more than 400Bq / kg in 2018 the current was measured.

Cesium 134 + 137 totaling map corrected to number as of 2018

Cesium 134 + 137 totaling map which we corrected in figure in 2011

<Discussion>
Although this measurement caravan found that there are variations in cesium concentration depending on the location, seven years after the accident , more than 400 Bq of cesium can be detected at multiple locations, and the deposition of plume can be supported in this area. You can see it as a result.
Currently, everyone's data site is working on the compilation of "Atlas" (Soil Contamination Map Book), which will be the compilation of this soil project. The results of this caravan will be added as part of the analysis to support the simulation results of plume movement at the time of the accident.

Another area, the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, is also planning additional sampling to confirm plume movement. Here too, the staff of Takasaki's measurement room does the measurement by sewing the gap of the rainy season. We will report the results here soon.

In addition to these data supplementing activities, we are actively working on the writing of Atlas manuscripts in order to make it easy to understand to everyone from various angles such as commentary of 17 prefectures and summary of measurement results in each measurement room and the situation of food contamination. I'm here.

Thank you for your continued support.

Even in Kanagawa Prefecture, it was the first opportunity for many organizations to connect sideways and exhibit indoors together for a long time.

Of course, as a data site for everyone, it was the first time an opportunity to exhibit at a large venue for a long time.

For this reason, I spent a considerable amount of time preparing for planning and producing these exhibits, what I want to tell at this event, how to exhibit what in a large exhibition space.

Commentary on A1's large-sized Kanagawa soil map to convey that many people from Kanagawa Prefecture who are evacuated to Kanagawa Prefecture and those in Kanagawa Prefecture will visit, and the theme of the event, "Kanagawa and the present of Fukushima" For this event, and a 100-year map with a size of A1 or more (hanging type).
We also introduced food contamination trends and data sites, and added a new commentary (Japanese & English) to the photo panel exhibited at the LUSH Summit in London in February.

The meaning of the Becquerel number,
We displayed a large 100-year map

In addition, we make new goods such as soil map of Fukushima, clear file of 100 years map and tell the present conditions to visitors, and there is also opportunity to sell to be able to take home again, and the actual condition of pollution to all of Kanagawa I feel that I could have delivered it.

In product sales corner, we sold soil map and other goods of each prefecture

During the show, I stood on the panel's commentary and held mini talks about 5 times to interact with the visitors.

The exhibition using a large space, etc., and the lecture at a large floor on another floor are also very popular.
We were able to attend many people.

There were days when the outside temperature suddenly dropped and cold rain was experienced, but it was said that approximately 1,500 people were able to attend during the period.

Many people came to visit from Tokyo and so on.
Thank you very much for everyone who came and for your support. I think that the scale will be smaller, but the request to hold the same type of exhibition in each area in Kanagawa Prefecture seems to be up. If you have any request from Kanagawa Prefecture, please contact the Data Site Secretariat. We will also consider holding a separate exhibition and lecture on the data site. In addition, it is possible to carry out an exhibition for the area in other areas. As we want to work on consultation, please send us your request.

Lastly, I will post an article of this event introduced in the newspaper.
